Never Underestimate Potential

Perhaps this belief began with my own story.

After losing my mother early in life, I learned that circumstances can shape your story without determining what comes next. I also learned the value of resilience, preparation, and being willing to build something different from what you originally imagined.

Today, I help ambitious professionals and business owners transform their expertise into businesses that work for their lives, not the other way around.

The Leadership Gap I Saw Everywhere

For more than 25 years, I built my career from the ground up, growing from executive support roles into senior leadership, managing complex initiatives, leading teams, and helping organizations improve how they operate.

Along the way, I strengthened my expertise through formal education, executive development, and decades of hands-on experience in strategy, operations, leadership, and execution.

In 2024, I was selected from nearly 4,900 applicants for Cohort 5 of the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women: Black in Business entrepreneurship program and graduated.

What I gained went beyond a credential. The experience strengthened the strategic planning, financial discipline, and business leadership principles that now shape how I serve clients through Moore Planning & Consulting.

But throughout my career, I kept seeing the same gap.

I met talented professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders who were exceptional at what they did—but building a sustainable business required an entirely different set of skills.

What was missing wasn’t talent, ambition, or expertise.

It was the strategy, structure, and support needed to turn that expertise into a business that could grow sustainably.

That gap became the foundation for Moore Planning & Consulting.

Today, I help service-based business owners build the business behind their expertise, so they can make more intentional decisions, strengthen the systems behind their work, and lead with greater clarity and confidence.

From the Trenches to Strategic Leadership

My unconventional career path became my greatest asset.

The Foundation Years. I learned operational discipline from the ground up—customer experience, administrative systems, processes, execution, and what it takes to keep the work moving behind the scenes.

The Growth Years. As my responsibilities expanded, I led teams, budgets, operations, human resources, organizational development, and increasingly complex initiatives. I saw firsthand how leadership decisions affect people, performance, and profitability.

The Leadership Years. I moved into higher-level strategic leadership—helping executives and organizations think beyond the immediate problem, strengthen operations, and make decisions that support sustainable growth.

Those experiences now shape how I work with business owners.

I understand both sides of the business: the strategic decisions that determine where you’re going and the operational structure required to actually get there.

That intersection of strategy and execution is where MPC does its best work.

Building Businesses That Work For Your Life

Here’s what I’ve learned after decades of leading, building, and solving complex business problems:

A successful business shouldn’t require you to sacrifice the life you built it to create.

Yet too many business owners become trapped inside businesses that depend on them for every decision, every process, and every next move.

The result may look successful from the outside, while behind the scenes the owner is carrying far too much of the business alone.

I believe there is a better way.

A business should have enough structure to support the work, enough strategy to guide decisions, and enough support to grow without requiring the owner to personally hold everything together.

That doesn’t mean removing yourself from your business.

It means building the business so you can lead it.

That’s the model I’m passionate about helping business owners create: one with the strategy, structure, and support to generate greater peace, order, and profitability without building a business that consumes the life it was meant to support.

What You Can Expect When We Partner

Here’s what clients tell me they value most about working together:

Beyond Business

I’m a Cincinnati native, married to my husband of 25+ years, mom to two humans and a fur baby, and firm believer that there should always be room for a life outside the business.

Coffee, books, thoughtful conversations, and spending time with the people I love help keep me grounded.

Those personal priorities also influence how I think about business.

Growth should create greater opportunity, not simply more responsibility.

That belief shapes the work I do with every client.
